The 2009 Winter School holidays, once again saw high school students came from all around Queensland and interstate in to participate in Griffith Uni’s `Rock School’, where students not only recorded their own original songs, but also learnt a number of tricks of the music trade. The Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University which hosts `Rock School’ has been designed for those wishing to expand their skills in well loved music. The budding rock stars learned about new studio technologies, how to promote themselves in a music career, and recorded music live, finishing up by mixing their songs and getting their very own CD copies to take home, as well as performing in a concert at the end of the week for their friends and family.
